Nicholas j. Lazos
Nick Lazos focuses on commercial real estate development, including title, acquisition, leasing, construction, regulatory and zoning approvals, eminent domain, real estate taxation and assessments, and financing. He represents banks and borrowers in real estate, asset based and complex bond financings. Over the last several years, Mr. Lazos has been involved in many of the largest development projects in New Hampshire including City Hall Plaza, Wall Street Tower/Parking Facility, Elliot Hospital Medical Office Building and Parking Garage, Hooksett Walmart and Lowes, Woodland Pond at Manchester, Wethersfield in Auburn, NH and Manchester Commons. He has also negotiated eminent domain actions with the State of New Hampshire regarding the Airport Access Road.
Mr. Lazos has been named one of the "Top Lawyers in New Hampshire" by New Hampshire Magazine and been selected as one of the "Best Lawyers in America". He is a lifelong resident of Manchester, New Hampshire and serves on numerous state and charitable committees including the Manchester Chamber of Commerce Executive Committee and Legal Counsel to the Chamber, a Chamber representative on the Infrastructure and Green Committees, Airport Access Road Study Committee, the Heritage United Way, the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, St. George Greek Orthodox Church and the Latin American Center.
Mr. Lazos is a member of the Manchester, New Hampshire and American Bar Associations and is a former stockholder and director of Sheehan, Phinney, Bass + Green, P.A. where he practiced for almost twenty years. Through this work, he has developed extensive knowledge of the zoning, public utilities and infrastructure issues confronting the City and the region.
Mr. Lazos received his A.B degree from Dartmouth College in 1974 and then his J.D. degree from Harvard University Law School in 1978.
